May 7 - sunny and warm

Jim lost his visor a few days ago, and since then was wearing his rain hat anyway. But today was sunny and he needed to protect his tender top, so he borrowed my blue and purple Buff. I have never loved Jim as much as I loved him today in that beautiful bright Buff!

It was calm and warm and sunny, with views of snowy hills all around. The walking was mostly easy and our feet were relatively dry all day!

We met a fellow on his way down from a nearby Munro and he said he has only 11 more to go before reaching Peak Completion Status. He's been out for 14 days now, and today was only the second day with weather fair enough to climb a Munro. Turns out that only one of the Munros is a technical challenge - the real challenge is having the patience to wait in your camper van for 12 days in order to have 2 days with acceptable weather!

We ate lunch outdoors today and enjoyed the fine scenery.

And now we are camped at Loch an Nid, 5 star camp with great views and a pair of Arctic Loons.

We are happy and healthy.
