May 5 - almost done. Rain.

100% gray. About 50% rain between 9:30 and 6:30 when we arrived at a municipal campground. Soggy muddy feet, otherwise everything is dry. Thankful for umbrellas. No bakeries, but a good pizza for lunch.

Beautiful scenery along the banks of the Loire. Really enjoying this leg of the walk.

We are happy and healthy and we are the only people in this campground. The hostess sold us cold ciders, the showers were warm, and there were tables and chairs under a shelter, so we were comfortably dry for a couple hours for our evening tasks.
