Many people think 18-20 miles per day is a lot. We like walking, and it is not a lot. Some people do it at leisurely 2mph for 9-10 hours (our model). Some people do it at brisk 3mph for 6-7 hours. Either model works.
The strong hikers move 30 miles per day - brisk walking for 10 hours. That for me would be no fun.
We had a regular Bib day with 2 highlights. We are our picnic lunch at the Mumballup Pub with a cold cider. And we got to spend an hour or two in our first agricultural landscape, giving us ~10 species we had not seen yet on the Bib hike. Other than that bit of agricultural land the route so far has been remarkably consistent in terms of bird life.
Spending the night alone at the Noggerup shelter. Nice to have it to ourselves.
We are happy, healthy, and enjoying perfect weather and big black cockatoos.
