Aug 29 - all great

Mostly sunny for the first time in forever. Walking in the cloudy weather has been very pleasant, but the sun makes things feel all cheery. Air temp 17c. Water temp 16c. Perfect walking weather. 

Spectacular piece of coast all day. Easy walking as has been true all trip. 10.5 meter tidal swing today, low tide at 14:45. Wide beaches mixed with extensive limestone tidal shelves and shingle bars and coastal cliffs. Ain't this just grand. It's hard to express the drama of a 35 foot tidal zone. 

Camped in a sheep pasture with view of a lighthouse, the Bristol Channel, and Exmoor National Park on the other side of the Channel.

James's back continues to improve and his boots continue to deteriorate.
