Another day with great weather and two bakeries. 60% cumulus clouds, but no rain.
We have met and talked to three parties who are thru-hiking the GR 34. The first was a pair of middle-aged women, the second was a solo male, and the third was a fellow we met today, Michel. Michel is a 77 year old retired military paratrooper. He lives in the Pyrenees and like us has hiked the HRP, but he summitted fifteen 3000 meter peaks as part of his trip. He had heart surgery, and his doc told him "no more mountains!" So he's here with us on this easy-walking coastal path.
We have also talked to a half dozen parties who are hiking a section, including a sixty-something couple today who are hiking their final section. When they finish this leg, they will have hiked the whole 1250 mile GR34. That is true for us too.
We are happy and healthy and camping in bit of woods near a house that we think is currently unoccupied.
