There used to be a road bridge in that photo. Lost in the jan/feb flooding in portugal. Last we read they estimated 6 billion euros of damage. Lucky for us the stream was not a problem to cross without the bridge.
Further on the trail was a damaged foot bridge, but again we were able to negotiate a crossing anyway.
We are now on the 140 mile long coastal Fisherman's Path, part of the Routa Vicentina network. So far it's well marked and well used. We saw at least three parties hiking it northbound.
Lots of people out on a Sunday. The surfing beaches were busy, and the open restaurants in the last town we walked through were lively.
More good weather today. On the warm side, calm, sunny. Very nice tent site at route mile 73, overlooking the sea.
One blister, a sore foot, and the usual aches and pains. None-the-less we are happy and healthy.
